A Record Ride to Jerusalem
by the Rev'd James Neil
incumbent of Christ Church, Jerusalem, 1871-1874

This is a reprint of an article describing a ride from Joppa to Jerusalem which was accomplished by the author in record time in 1871. It is also a fascinating insight into Arab horses, for which the author clearly has a passion, and he provides a great deal of information about the points of the breed and about the place they held in the lives of the Bedouin tribes of the time. The author was an anglican clergyman. Not serious scholarship by any means but a great little tale told with passion and humour.

pp. 11 sewn into card covers with paper label. Protected in acetate wrapper. Edition limited to 50 numbered copies.
